We Provide: We take care of all trip logistics to make your trip safe and enjoyable. We provide all canoeing and camping equipment
including durable Old Town canoes, type III life jackets, paddles, tents, group tarp, cooking & eating utensils, meals while on
the river, and well stocked First Aid kit.
You Provide: Personal clothing and gear including river bags, sleeping bags and sleeping
pads. We'll send you a complete packing list upon request or when signing up for a trip. Gear for rent includes sleeping bags, sleeping
pads and river bags.
Partial Outfitting: Contact Dave to discuss guiding rates when you provide most or all of your equipment
including meals. Discounts for your own gear: $20.00 per day per canoe, $5.00 per day per tent.
Just need a guide? We can
provide a guide for most Maine outings for $350.00 per day plus mileage (travel expense) to and from the river.
Transportation: To
and from the river, to be discussed and decided upon prior to signing up for your trip.
Reservations: Overnight Maine canoe
trips require a $100.00 deposit per person to secure your trip. All other Maine trips require a $250.00 deposit per person with a
financial commitment to pay the full trip amount 30 days prior to your trip. The remaining balance is due upon arrival. Canadian trips
require a $300.00 deposit per person with an additional 30% due 60 days prior to your trip. While the remaining balance isn’t due
until 15 days prior to your trip, a financial commitment to pay the full trip amount is required 60 days before your trip.
Cancellations: Deposits for Maine trips are fully refundable up until 30 days prior to your trip and deposits for trips in Canada
are fully refundable up until 60 days prior to trip. *No refunds given 30 days before your Maine trip, and 60 days before your
trip in Canada. Canoe the Wild reserves the right to cancel a trip due to **low enrollment, safety, forces in nature that are beyond
our control such as low & high water levels. In these cases your payments are fully refundable. *While the deposit is non refundable,
you may apply it to a future trip within two years. ** In the case of low enrollment, we can discuss a cost per person that makes
the trip feasible to go.
